99% of the time the answer is yes however it all depends on the size and shape of your garden.
Every garden is different to the next, but most gardens can accommodate and fit a marquee of some shape or form. There are many different types of marquees in the wedding and events industry, so it is always possible to find the perfect solution.

The easiest way to find out if a marquee will fit in your garden is by measuring it.
Step 1: Find the area you would like the marquee to go
Step 2: Ensure the area has no obstacle that may affect the space for a marquee to be positioned.
Step 3: Take a measure tape and measure the width from the furthest point where the boundary or boarder is (i.e. fence, wall, or flower bed) Make a note in either meters or feet.

Step 5: Take some photos of the area so you can send it to the marquee company of event planner if needed.
Step 6: Make a note if there are any overhead obstructions like telephone cables, trees or building overhangs. Also, if you know of any underground services that might impact the location of the marquee.
Step 7: You can now discuss with the marquee company to get an accurate idea of what type and size would be perfect for your garden.
If you are unable to take the measurements yourself then most marquee companies will be more than happy to offer a free site visit.
Some other things marquee companies will look for when surveying and measuring a garden.
- Parking at the property/venue
- Access to the garden/area the marquee is to be situated
- Boarder of garden (Flower beds, fencing etc)
- Location of trees identifying any overhanging branches or underlying roots
- General condition of the lawn/patio (holes or slopes that may affect the marquee flooring)
- Location of drains or water runways where the marquee will be erected. Obstructing these can cause flooring.
- Underground pipework that may pose a risk as marquee companies use different size stakes.
